Vedran Smailović who played his cello
for the people of Sarajevo during the siege in the 1990's.
Ovidiu Marinescu, cello, and Anna Kislitsyna, piano,
are the fantastic musicians in the recording.

Internationally renowned, acclaimed and award-winning trio, Casals brings together Alexandr Kislitsyn on violin, Ovidiu Marinescu on cello and Anna Kislitsyna on piano. Generally classified under the vague and broad banner of "contemporary music", it operates the junction between a claimed classical heritage (Brahms, Prokofiev, Beethoven and others) and the work of contemporary composers such as Hilary Tann or Edna Alejandra Longoria. Succeeding "Moto Continuo", "Moto Bello", "Moto Quarto" and "Moto Celeste", this fifth "Moto" in a series features a dozen tracks with very varied tempos and climates. It opens with the magnificent "Sarajevo Cellist" by a certain Matthew Hetz who is unknown to me. LINK
